Fledgling writer Briony Tallis, as a 13-year old, irrevocably changes the course of several lives when she accuses her older sister’s (Academy Award® nominee Kiera Knightley–Pride and Prejudice) lover (James McAvoy–The Last King of Scotland) of a crime he did not commit. Focus Features presents Atonement, opening December 7 in theatres nationwide. The Decca soundtrack will be released on December 4 and features original music by Academy Award® nominee Dario Marianelli, (Pride and Prejudice) with piano solos performed by Decca artist Jean Yves-Thibaudet.
